1. Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Hanuri mobile application and related websites operated by Hanuri ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using Hanuri, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. The Service
Hanuri provides Korean language learning tools, including vocabulary study, grammar resources, TOPIK practice, listening materials, translation help, conversation practice, and AI-assisted explanations. Features may change over time as we improve the product.
Hanuri is an educational tool. It is not affiliated with the official TOPIK administering bodies unless we explicitly say so. Exam outcomes depend on your preparation and many factors outside the app.
3. Accounts
You may use guest mode for many features. If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Hanuri. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the service with permission from a parent or guardian.
4. Subscriptions and Purchases
Hanuri may offer free features and paid subscriptions such as Hanuri Pro. Paid purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. Pricing, billing periods, free trials, and renewal terms are shown at the time of purchase in the store or in-app paywall.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled according to store rules.
- Manage or cancel renewals in your Apple or Google subscription settings.
- Refunds are handled by the applicable store under their policies.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Misuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, or disrupt our systems.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or copy protected content beyond personal learning use.
- Submit unlawful, abusive, or infringing content through learning inputs.
- Use AI features to generate harmful content or to violate others' rights.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit Hanuri without our written permission.
6. AI Features
Some features use third-party AI providers to analyze text, translate, or provide tutoring help. AI output can be incomplete or incorrect. Always use your judgment, especially for exams, professional writing, or sensitive topics. Do not submit confidential personal information into AI inputs.
AI Sparks and usage limits may apply based on your plan. We may change allowances to keep the service reliable and sustainable.
7. Intellectual Property
Hanuri, including its branding, software, interface, and original content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for learning purposes in accordance with these Terms.
Learning materials and third-party content remain subject to their respective rights. Do not redistribute protected materials outside the app.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, perfect accuracy of translations or AI responses, or any particular exam result.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hanuri and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for Hanuri in the 12 months before the claim or (b) USD $50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations. In those places, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
10. Termination
You may stop using Hanuri at any time and may request account deletion as described on our Delete account page. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for other users, or if we discontinue the service.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, may provide additional notice in the app or on the website. Continued use after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
